Carol Monaghan MP pays respect to servicemen and women on Armistice Day and Remembrance Sunday

The SNP’s Armed Forces and Veterans Spokesperson at Westminster, Carol Monaghan MP, has paid respect to servicemen and women at remembrance services in Glasgow.

The Glasgow North West MP joined Bill Kidd MSP and Glasgow City Councillors Chris Cunningham and Michael Cullen, in laying wreaths at the Yoker War Memorial on Armistice Day, before marking Remembrance Sunday with a two minute silence at George Square.

Following the ceremonies, Carol Monaghan MP said:

“It was an honour to join the local community in laying wreaths at the Yoker War Memorial on Armistice Day, before marking Remembrance Sunday at the cenotaph in George Square.

“We owe an enormous debt of gratitude to our armed forces, veterans and their families.”
