Many thanks for your emails regarding the EU Withdrawal Bill. I have signed to confirm my support for Amendment 7 which will require the final deal with the EU to be approved by statute passed by Parliament. You can find confirmation of that on page 38 of the following document:
In addition to this, the SNP absolutely supports amendments aimed at preventing a ‘no deal’ scenario, those which protect EU citizens’ rights and keeps the UK in the single market. We have ourselves tabled amendments on all of those key issues and will be pushing them in forthcoming debates around the legislation.
We welcome cross-party work on the legislation and SNP MPs have been delighted to work with Parties across the House in preparation for this legislation. As your local MP, I will not be supporting the Bill as it stands.
