Carol Monaghan, MP for Glasgow North West, has called for traffic calming measures to be installed along Great Western Road.
Monaghan has previously raised concerns with Glasgow City Council on speeding in various areas of Glasgow North West and is backing calls from Knightswood Community Council for measures to be installed on the busy A82 route which spans the area.
Commenting on the situation, Monaghan said:
“I have previously contacted the council about problems with speeding traffic in Knightswood, but Great Western Road remains a serious hazard. This is an extremely busy road and one which schoolchildren are having to dash across. Traffic calming measures must now be installed before there is further tragedy.”
